Featured Interview With Author Andrew Masseurs
Tell us a little about yourself. Where were you raised? Where do you live now?
My Name is Andrew Masseurs and I am from Wellington, New Zealand. I've got two dogs and two cats.
I'm a crazy guy who grew up playing cricket and football (soccer) I love working out and exercising. I've got the most beautiful women in the world as my wife and four fantastic kids. I love life and love creating.
At what age did you realize your fascination with books? When did you start writing?
I was 48. Yes, that's right 48. I'd been making music all my life. (Four albums and an EP) When I was trying to read a book on holiday that was a hard slog. I decided to wrote my own. Next thing I had my first novella created called A Day in the Life. First book in an apocalyptic series.
Who are your favorite authors to read? What is your favorite genre to read. Who Inspires you in your writings?
Stephen King, George R R Martin, J K Rowling, Thomas Harris,Suzanne Collins. I loved to get whisked away into another world. The best books were the ones I couldn't put down. There really is something special about keeping the reader guessing.
Tell us a little about your latest book?
The latest book is The Day After. The sequel to my first book A Day in the Life. The series is about family. In this world everyone has mysteriously vanished. It is about the family trying to survive in a world that wants them dead. I can't say too much as it would give away the secrets that you need to discover. Let's just say that it's full of danger and emotion. I love this book. The first book took me a couple months to write. The second book took me a month. I just flew through it. It's not always like that. I've written two unreleased novels that both took me a year to finish. They're not released for a reason. The good ones write themselves you just got to get out of the way.
